La Nouvelle Etoile is owned and operated by Captain Jan Meijer. He was born into a Dutch shipping family and has spent all of his life in and around navigation and river cruise boats. Since 1988 he has been bringing passengers the utmost in luxury and comfort with one of the most successful barges on Europe's majestic waterways. La Nouvelle Etoile caters to only eight guests, creating an unprecedented level of spaciousness and privacy.
