In January my husband and I were very lucky to be part of Pam Welsh's Chinese New Year one week trip to Hong Kong.
Having worried about a crowded tour with many people we didn't know, we resisted Pam's invitation for many years before taking the United Airlines direct flight from San Francisco to Hong Kong.
This trip was more than fantastic!
We had 5 nights at the Langham Court Hotel in Kowloon, directly across from Hong Kong, 2 full guided tours, grand stand seats at the Chinese New Year Parade in Kowloon complete with gift packets from the sponsor Cathay Pacific Airlines, and a Chinese buffet along the water to view the New Year Fireworks.
